SMIT publishes paper on Mobile Digital TV in book on Global Mobile Commerce

SMIT provided a chapter for the book â€کGlobal Mobile Commerce: Strategies, Implementation and Case Studies’, edited by Wayne W. Huang, Yingluo Wang and John Day, published by Idea Group Reference. The book explores a variety of issues in global m-commerce strategies and technological standards for next-generation mobile telecommunication in three continents) Europe, Asia, and America).

The chapter by the researchers of SMIT is â€کThe Design of Mobile Television in Europe’, written by Pieter Ballon and Olivier Braet. It gives a detailed overview of mobile digital TV pilot projects in several European countries from a business modelling point of view, focussing on the different pilot implementation philosophies underlying mobile digital TV roll-outs throughout Europe.

The article is based on results from the MADUF project, which is funded by the IBBT (Interdisciplinary Institute for BroadBand Technology) of Flanders, Belgium, as well as by various partner companies from the telecommunication field
